Arjuna Welirang Hiking

Day 1: Meeting Point – Tretes Climbing Post – Pondokan Post 3 (B-L-D)

Early in the morning, we will pick you up in Surabaya or Malang, and then we will travel to Tretes tourist area by private car for about 1 hour. Upon arrival, we will have breakfast first, and our team will register for the climb. After breakfast, we will start our journey. At the beginning of the trip, we will pass through the tourist area with a still gentle terrain until we reach Post 1 Pet Bocor, which takes about 45 minutes. Towards Post 2, we will start entering the open forest with a constant uphill path. It takes 3 hours to reach Post 2 Kopkopan, where we will rest for lunch. Going to Post 3 will be more tiring due to the long distance of the journey. It takes up to 5 hours to reach Post 3 Pondokan, where there are many semi-permanent wooden houses used by sulfur miners to rest. At this post, we will rest to prepare for the summit attack early in the morning.

Day 2: Pondokan Post 3 – Welirang Peak – Arjuno Peak – Pondokan Post 3 (B-L-D)

Today will be a long day, we will depart for the peak at 03.00 starting with Welirang Peak. The journey to the peak takes 3-4 hours on an open forest terrain. We will enjoy the sunrise on the way. Upon arrival at the Welirang Peak, we will enjoy a light breakfast prepared by the team. After that, we will rush to the Ogal-Agil Peak of Mount Arjuno for approximately 5-6 hours. On the way, we will pass through the Twin Peaks 1 and Twin Peaks 2. At the Arjuno Peak, we will rest for lunch while enjoying the open natural scenery. Then the journey will continue back to Post 3 Pondokan through Pos Lali Jiwo and Pos Lembah Kidang, which are beautiful. We will arrive at the camp in the evening and will rest again at Post 3 Pondokan.

Day 3: Pondokan Post – Tretes Post – Meeting Point Surabaya (B-L)

After breakfast at 07.00 in the morning, we will rush back to Tretes Post. The journey will take the same route for about 4 hours. Upon arriving in Tretes, we will clean up, and we will invite you to have lunch as a closing celebration for the trip. Then we will take you back to your hometown or other preferred destination.
